The chairs are made of . Parchment has been a key material for the record of human history, allowing the transmission of maps, texts, knowledge that constitutes us, and that still exists today. But with the rise of paper, the use of parchment as a writting support decreased, and today there are only 10 parchment makers in the world. This project aims to stimulate the craft of parchment by exploring new shapes and tensions of the material and by highlighting its origin, the animal. The chairs are using the parchment as a surface, and the structure is made of patinated steel.
